In the film ‘Mother India,’ actor Sajid Khan, who portrayed the character Birju from childhood, passed away due to cancer at the age of 70. Khan, known for his roles in international films like “Maya” and “The Singing Filipinos,” battled cancer for some time, and he breathed his last on Friday (December 22).
According to Sajid’s son Samir, his father lived with his second wife in Kerala. Samir said, “My father was adopted by actors Prithviraj Kapoor and Sunitha Kapoor, and his upbringing was done by film producer Mahboob Khan. He had been inactive in films for some time and was more involved in philanthropy. He often visited Kerala and found solace there. He got remarried and settled here.” The actor was laid to rest at the Juma Masjid in the town of Kottayam in the Alappuzha district of Kerala.
