The inspiring story of bravery and supreme sacrifice of Shaheed Arun Khetrapal, India’s youngest Param Vir Chakra awardee, is all set to reach audiences through the upcoming film Ekkis. Ahead of its release, a special screening was held in Mumbai, where emotions ran high—especially for Arun Khetrapal’s family.
During the screening, Shaheed Arun Khetrapal’s brother, Mukesh Khetrapal, was visibly overwhelmed. He could not hold back his tears after watching actor Agastya Nanda portray his brother on screen.

“You Will Remain Arun for the Rest of Your Life”
Deeply moved by Agastya Nanda’s performance, Mukesh Khetrapal praised the young actor for bringing his brother’s character to life with sincerity and respect. Embracing Agastya after the screening, he emotionally said,
“Whoever you may be, you will remain Arun for the rest of your life. No one can take this identity away from you now.”
He further appreciated Agastya’s dedication and hard work. He said that his portrayal made the martyr’s memories feel alive once again.
“The Film Is 100 Times Better Than the Trailer”
Mukesh Khetrapal also spoke to the film’s director, Sriram Raghavan, sharing that his only “complaint” was that the film made him cry. He revealed that several scenes transported him back to moments he had once lived with his brother.
According to him, Ekkis goes far beyond what audiences have seen in the trailer.
“The film is not just 10 or 20 times better—it is at least 100 times more powerful and impactful than the trailer,” he said.
With such an emotional response from the martyr’s own family, Ekkis promises to be a heartfelt tribute to Shaheed Arun Khetrapal’s courage, sacrifice, and legacy.
