Veteran filmmaker Rakesh Roshan shared a heartfelt birthday note for his superstar son Hrithik Roshan. Hrithik is the Greek God of Bollywood.
Rakesh took to social media to wish his son, affectionately called Duggu, a pleased birthday. Along with the message, he shared a special art creative featuring Hrithik from his younger days and the present.
In the caption, Rakesh wrote, “Duggu love you more every year. Happy birthday! Creative by @art_ofroshans. Thank you.”
Rakesh Roshan is married to Pinkie Roshan, having two children — Sunaina Roshan and Hrithik Roshan.
Often referred to as the millennial superstar, Hrithik Roshan is among the highest-paid actors in India. Since 2012, he has featured multiple times in Forbes India’s Celebrity 100 list, based on his income and popularity.
Hrithik made brief appearances as a child actor in several films during the 1980s. He later worked as an assistant director on four of his father’s films. His debut as a leading man came with the blockbuster Kaho Naa… Pyaar Hai, which established him as a major star overnight.
His performances in films such as Fiza (2000) and Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham (2001) further strengthened his position in Bollywood. The 2003 science-fiction film Koi… Mil Gaya was a turning point in his career. He was the lead of the highly successful Krrish franchise, where he portrayed the titular superhero.
Hrithik earned critical acclaim for his role as an army officer in Lakshya. He went on to deliver memorable performances in Dhoom2, Jodhaa Akbar, ZNMD, Agneepath, Bang Bang!, Super 30, War, and Fighter.
Hrithik is set for his debut in OTT as a producer with the upcoming thriller Storm, Prime Video.
Created and directed by acclaimed filmmaker Ajitpal Singh, known for Tabbar and the Sundance selection Fire in the Mountains, Storm marks a new chapter in Hrithik’s evolving career.
Soon Hrithik Roshan will make his directorial debut with Krrish 4. He is taking over the reins of the franchise he has nurtured for over two decades. Producer of the film is Yash Raj Films in association with Rakesh Roshan. Hrithik is simultaneously handling both acting and direction duties. The film will be released next year.
