Hollywood actress Julia Roberts has revealed plans to reset her rider in 2026 after watching George Clooney’s latest film ‘Jay Kelly’.
In the film, George Clooney plays an ageing actor who finds slices of cheesecake everywhere he goes. Because it was unknowingly added to his rider, even though he doesn’t even like the dessert. Julia shared that the storyline strongly resonated with her own real-life experience.
According to a report by Female First UK, Julia revealed that she is constantly surrounded by almonds at events she attends. Speaking to Deadline, she said, “There is either a huge bag or a huge bowl of raw almonds. I have no idea why. I like them, but not in bulk. I mean, they’re everywhere I go. It’s so funny.”
The actress added that after watching ‘Jay Kelly’, she immediately reached out to her team to remove almonds from her rider. “I just recently sent an email since watching ‘Jay Kelly’. In the new year, one thing I would really like to do is review any and all riders that pertain to me in this world, because I think it might be time for a little reset on the almonds,” she shared.
As per Female First UK, George Clooney also previously spoke about relating to the cheesecake subplot due to his own experience with apples. In an interview with USA Today, he recalled how a casual request for Fuji apples once made its way into his rider.
George said, “Everywhere you go, people are climbing mountains to find Fuji apples for you. And I had to go, ‘Take that out. You are crazy.’”
He further added that such situations often happen unintentionally, as people try to make things perfect. George also noted that, unlike some actors with strict demands, he prefers simplicity and staying grounded on set.
