Oscar-winning Hollywood actress Jennifer Lawrence has once again surprised fans with her honest and unfiltered views on acting. During a recent interaction, Jennifer revealed that she finds it easier to shoot intimate scenes with strangers than with close friends or familiar co-stars.
Her candid confession has quickly grabbed attention online.
“Working With Friends Feels Strange”
Talking about her upcoming film Die My Love, Jennifer shared that she worked opposite Robert Pattinson, whom she did not know personally before the film. According to her, this actually made filming intimate scenes more comfortable.

She explained that when you work with someone new, things stay professional. However, filming such scenes with friends can feel awkward. Jennifer recalled her experience from The Hunger Games, where she had to kiss her close friend and co-star Josh Hutcherson. She admitted that the moment felt “very strange” because of their friendship.
Interpretive Dance Was More Awkward Than Intimate Scenes
Jennifer also shared a funny behind-the-scenes story from Die My Love. Before shooting, she and Robert Pattinson had to take interpretive dance classes for the film.
She described the experience as extremely embarrassing and joked that both of them are terrible dancers. Jennifer laughed while saying that learning the dance felt so uncomfortable that when the director later asked them to do a nude scene, it felt easier in comparison.
She jokingly said, “At least it wasn’t interpretive dance.”
Watching Her Own Movie While Intoxicated
In another surprising revelation, Jennifer said that she usually avoids watching her own films. However, she admitted that once, while heavily intoxicated, she decided to watch American Hustle.
She wanted to check if she was actually good at acting but later confessed that she doesn’t remember much of the experience.
David O. Russell Is Her Acting Coach
While talking about her growth as an actor, Jennifer praised filmmaker David O. Russell. She said he played a major role in shaping her acting skills.
Jennifer described him as a tough but honest coach who gives clear and direct feedback. She added that she prefers people who speak honestly rather than sugar-coating things.
Jennifer’s Honesty Wins Hearts
Jennifer Lawrence’s raw honesty and humour once again prove why fans love her so much. Her ability to talk openly about awkward moments, failures, and learning experiences makes her relatable, even at the peak of Hollywood success.
