Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar’s upcoming horror comedy Bhoot Bangla has got a new release date. The makers have confirmed that the film will hit theatres on May 15, 2026.
One of the biggest highlights of Bhoot Bangla is the reunion of Akshay Kumar with director Priyadarshan after a long gap of 14 years. The duo has earlier delivered some of Bollywood’s most loved comedy films.

A hit pair returns after years
Before Bhoot Bangla, Akshay Kumar and Priyadarshan worked together in iconic films like Hera Pheri, Garam Masala, Bhagam Bhag, Bhool Bhulaiyaa, De Dana Dan, and Khatta Meetha. Their reunion has raised expectations among fans who are excited to see them bring back their signature humour.
Strong cast and production details
Along with Akshay Kumar, Bhoot Bangla stars Wamiqa Gabbi, Tabu, and Paresh Rawal in key roles. The film will also feature the late actor Asrani, making it even more special for fans.
The film is produced by Balaji Telefilms, led by Shobha Kapoor and Ekta R Kapoor, in association with Akshay Kumar’s banner Cape of Good Films.

Balaji Motion Pictures recently shared a new poster of the film on Instagram. The poster shows Akshay Kumar sitting on a small hillock, holding a lantern, setting the mood for a spooky yet fun experience. The release date, 15-05-2026, is clearly mentioned on the poster.
