Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt visited Nepal on a short trip and offered prayers at the sacred Pashupatinath Temple on Friday. The actor reached Kathmandu on Thursday as part of a visit aimed at promoting tourism in the Himalayan nation.

Sanjay Dutt visited the famous Hindu temple under tight security and prayed before the Shivling and Bhairava idols inside the temple complex. Before heading to the temple, the 66-year-old actor expressed his affection for the country, saying, “I love Nepal and the Nepali people.”
Warm Welcome by Nepal Tourism Board
At the temple, Sanjay Dutt received a warm welcome from Deepak Raj Joshi, Chief Executive Officer of the Nepal Tourism Board.

Joshi stated that Sanjay Dutt’s visit would help strengthen Nepal’s tourism appeal, especially among Indian travelers. India remains one of Nepal’s largest sources of international tourists.
India Remains a Key Tourism Market for Nepal
Tourism officials shared that last year, over 2.9 lakh Indian tourists visited Nepal by air. This accounted for more than 35 percent of the country’s total international tourist arrivals, highlighting the strong travel connection between India and Nepal.
Brief Visit, Multiple Engagements
After offering prayers at the Pashupatinath Temple, Sanjay Dutt departed for Mumbai. During his stay in Nepal, he also inaugurated a casino, adding to his list of engagements during the visit.
