Popular actress Sreeleela has been making headlines not just for her films, but also for her deeply personal life choices. At just 24 years old, Srileela has adopted three children, a decision that has surprised and inspired many.

Her journey started at 21
In a recent interview, Sreeleela shared that her journey into motherhood began during the shooting of her first Kannada film Kiss. While working on the film in 2019, the director took her to an ashram, which changed her life.
In 2022, when she was only 21, Sreeleela adopted two differently-abled children, Guru and Shobhita, from the ashram. Last year, she adopted another young girl, completing her family of three children.

“I don’t call myself a full-time mother”
Talking honestly about her role, Sreeleela said she does not see herself as a traditional, full-time mother. She explained that the children currently live in an ashram and not with her. However, she stays in regular touch with them through phone calls and frequent visits.
She shared that there is a deeper story behind her decision and added that while she loves the children dearly, their living arrangement works best for their care and stability at the moment.
She spoke about it to inspire others
Sreeleela revealed that she kept her decision private for a long time. She decided to speak openly only after the organisation requested her to do so, hoping her story would encourage others to consider adoption.
She admitted that discussing the topic sometimes makes her emotional, but assured that she has made complete arrangements for the children’s care, education, and well-being.
Actress, dancer, and doctor
Apart from acting, Sreeleela is also a trained Bharatanatyam dancer and a qualified doctor. She completed her MBBS degree in 2021, making her one of the few actresses with a medical background.
On the work front, she was recently seen in the popular song “Kissik” from Pushpa 2: The Rule, which gained massive attention.
Srileela’s story highlights compassion, responsibility, and courage, showing a different side of stardom that goes beyond glamour.
